Courtyard with garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking.. This spacious, terraced house has a large separate dining room and a cosy multi-fuel burner in the living room. Within easy reach there are plenty of cafés, independent shops, bars and a large supermarket, as well as a train station where there are regular trains to Scarborough and Bridlington. There is something for all age groups in Filey and the added bonus of having one of the best beaches in the UK. It is over 4 miles of long, flat sandy beach that is enjoyed by families, dog walkers and horse riders, both in the summer and winter months. There is space for everybody and even in the height of season there is always lots of beach space. Just along the coast is the rspb bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs. Here you can see the puffins and other migrating birds that people travel from throughout the UK and overseas to view the birds perched on the cliffs.
The medieval city of York is just an hour’s drive away and has been voted as one of the top 10 cities to visit in the UK, it definitely should be on your list to visit. There are plenty of museums, theatres and parks, as well as river cruises and open top tourist buses. Children will enjoy the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre, a museum that depicts the life of the Vikings in the city. Beach ¼ mile. Shop 200 yards, pub 150 yards and restaurant 300 yards.

The house was very clean and comfortable. Just a pity that the host wasn't contactable when needed. That's why I removed a star. Otherwise all extremely good. Filey is truly beautiful and lots of great places to eat.

We had a really comfortable stay. After a long journey it was great to relax . The welcome biscuits were very nice and there was plenty of toilet roll ! Property was very clean. Full range of facilities in the kitchen well stocked with crockery.Shower was easy to operate in the bathroom and what was a bonus.. separate toilet !. I wonder if the bin day dates could be updated and then it would be easier for people to not forget to put out the recycling etc.
