The driveway after leaving the hiway is a little rough not many passing places. Badgers Barn was very clean & tidy with oak beams & a split stable like door. We were at the Badgers Barn during the heatwave of June 2026 luckily I took my own table top isolating fan with us it was a good send together with the stable door we could keep cool Scarborough, Whitby, & Filey were only about 20mins drive away & York was 1hr away. There was beautiful scenery everywhere we looked.

We had a few issues with some items in the cottage which needed fixing. There were also lots of cobwebs over the rooms when we first arrived. The bed was really uncomfortable. It caused me back problems. However, location was very good & walks from doorstep were great too.

Badgers Barn is a delightful cottage. Celia is lovely. A couple of things could have been better.We had no facility to set heating times.Water at downstairs sink was only warm.WiFi would not connect to Internet most of the time.Downstairs smoke alarm needs to be tested as I burnt toast, no alarm activated. Comfy beds
