A charming, stone and pantile semi-detached barn conversion, situated in the small scattered village of Staintondale, between Whitby and Scarborough, in the North York Moors National Park. Set amidst stunning countryside on the owners' smallholding, this lovely Staintondale cottage would appeal to anyone wanting peace and tranquillity, within close proximity of the popular east coast seaside resorts. Bursting with character, this Staintondale cottage has exposed timbers, boarded doors and quirky low windows, providing very comfortable, quality accommodation. The spacious open plan living area of this Staintondale cottage boasts a warming woodburning stove, ideal to relax around on cooler evenings, and a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, whilst upstairs is a pretty double bedroom and a cosy twin. Outside this Staintondale cottage is a shared lawned area and extensive grounds and fields that guests are welcome to explore and take in the spectacular views. From this Staintondale cottage, there are excellent walking and cycling opportunities, with the 23 mile Cinder Track just down the road and a superb network of public footpaths, including the cliff-top Cleveland Way. Be sure to take the five minute drive to Ravenscar, where you can walk down to see the resident seal colony at the foot of the cliffs - a superb sight all year round. Enjoy the nearby quiet beach of Stoupe Brow, with fossils and rock pools, or take a fifteen minute walk from there to Robin Hood's Bay smugglers village, with its narrow steep streets and fishermen's cottages tumbling down towards the sea. With such a wide range of activities in the local area, this Staintondale cottage is one not to be missed. Note: This property adjoins Ref. 1195 and together they can accommodate up to 8 people.
The pretty, largely undiscovered village of Staintondale is located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, just half a mile from the coast. Positioned midway between the fishing town of Whitby - with its famous Abbey - and the spa town of Scarborough with its theatres and promenade entertainment, this lovely little village provides visitors with the best of both worlds, ensuring there's something to suit all tastes and budgets. There are a network of footpaths and bridleways through the village and into the beautifully diverse countryside beyond.
