Trek along the 'Cinder Track', a disused 23-mile-long railway track, now used for walking, cycling and horse riding,Ttere are several child-friendly activities and many excellent visitor attractions for grown-ups too, including the Scarborough Sealife Centre, Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Alpamare Waterpark, all within 4 miles. Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside, with thousands of hectares of moors and forest, it makes the perfect place to stay, with numerous public footpaths and the well-known Scalby Beck, which winds its way to the coast.
