Guests say

Rudda Farm Cottage is a well-received holiday rental in Scarborough, praised for its peacefulness, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the secure garden for pets, the cosy atmosphere with a wood burner, and the thoughtful welcome gifts. The location is ideal for exploring nearby attractions, and the views are highly regarded. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but overall, guests are very satisfied and often express a desire to return.

The cottage generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests describing it as clean and tidy. There is, however, a single mention of the oven needing a more thorough clean, which slightly impacts the overall perception.

The location is highly praised for its quietness and convenience for exploring Scarborough and surrounding areas. The views are particularly appreciated, contributing to a positive experience.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. The presence of a wood burner adds to the comfort level, although there are comments about flat pillows and a second bedroom that is less appealing.

While the cottage is equipped with necessary amenities, several reviews mention the need for upgrades and maintenance, such as the oven, microwave, and TV. The presence of a pool table is noted, but its condition and location are not ideal.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of welcome gifts such as wine, biscuits, and milk. It's important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We stayed at Rudda farm cottage for a three night break as a gift from our dad. It’s a great location, near to Ravenscar and Robin Hoods bay. The cottage was fine, nice little sitting room but a bit awkward to sit at the dining table. The kitchen was ok. Oven needs replacing and no hot water initially. The large bedroom was a good size and the bed was very comfy. It was good to have two bathrooms. I think the single beds could have better mattresses, they would be ok for children but not great for adults. The showers weren’t powerful at all which was a bit disappointing. The wine, milk and biscuits were a lovely touch, thank you.

Great three night getaway, booked at very short notice on the morning of our arrival. Lovely welcome pack waiting on our arrival. Cottage is cosy and warm, especially with the log burner fired up for those cooler winter evenings. It has everything you’ll need and is well situated, about half way between Whitby and Scarborough with plenty a good dog friendly eateries within a 20 min drive.Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay - thanks

The equipment in the kitchen should be changed like oven, microwave as the microwave and oven barely work and the temperatures are way off, as well the the toaster burning the food. TV for change, should be modern for this time, it's all old shows from when I was a child. Barbecue full of water inside cannot be used, needs cover for winter season. No play room.- everything is outside and no for used in winter time and it's really dirty. In the bathroom it takes ages for the hot water to even get slightly warm.
