We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful home. And it really did feel like home as there are so many lovey touches that make it feel cosy and loved. There’s lots of space and great storage. The owners have thought of everything - practical and entertainment. The house is full of games and books for all ages and the cupboards stocked with all the basics and a bit more - great to have flour when I had a last minute request for cauliflower cheese! We stayed in October so I had no problem finding parking nearby (although, I’m glad my car is an auto on those hills) and the 10am permit swap over was the perfect excuse to grab a coffee and go for a walk. The owner was lovely and very helpful, as was the neighbour. We couldn’t have been happier and our only complaint is that we didn’t want to leave!

A lovely retreat, a short walk from Anne Brontë's grave, Scarborough Castle, hopping over to North Bay, and into town. Property, despite its 1712 age, is modern, clean, homely and well turned out. A few creaks on stairs and floors and changes in level but that comes with a property of this age.The only negative which I've marked as amenities is the parking. This was well described in the description of the property so no surprise. In August, the local up to 2hr parking was always full and had to hunt around the longer term parking in zone 3L to find a space. I didn't mind the 15 minute uphill walk to get to the car(zone 3L) but some of the family did. OK in sunshine and fine weather but I might be grumpy if there were more rain showers. We got good by the end of the visit with fly past pickups in Princess Street with just one person doing the walking and packing the car full of people. If you've got good mobility then I'd thoroughly recommend the property as a good basis to explore the town.
