Cherry Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, secure garden for dogs, and the property's proximity to local attractions. The charming decor and thoughtful touches contribute to a homely experience. Some guests mention parking challenges and the downstairs bathroom, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
The majority of guests report the cottage as being beautifully clean and well-presented. However, a few guests noted issues with dog hairs and dust, suggesting room for improvement in thoroughness.
The location is consistently praised for its stunning views, quiet village setting, and convenience for exploring the North Yorkshire coast and moors. The local pub's proximity is also a plus.
Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with high-quality furnishings and a warm atmosphere. Some guests found the beds too firm and the parking tight, but overall comfort is rated highly.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with everything needed for a stay provided. Some guests experienced issues with heating and hot water controls, and suggestions were made for an extractor fan in the kitchen.
