Also, this room boasts some of the only remaining intact salt and spice cupboards in North Yorkshire, adding to the cottage’s unique charm. The kitchen exudes country elegance with quartz countertops and a dual Belfast sink. Open plan with the dining room, a second wood burner enhances the atmosphere, perfect for cosy evening meals. The ground floor also includes a utility room and a convenient shower room.

Upstairs on the first floor, there are two beautifully furnished bedrooms, a double and a kingsize, each equipped with drawers and wardrobes. The furniture throughout the cottage is antique and in keeping with its age and character. A stylish bathroom with a freestanding bath adds a touch of luxury. There’s also a quirky little reading room tucked under the stairs, a little hideaway, for peaceful moments of relaxation. On the second floor, at the top of the cottage, a twin bedroom under the eaves leads into a playful room with games for younger family members to enjoy, complete with Velux windows, making this a bright and welcoming space. Outside, Arncliffe View offers a off road parking for up to four cars and an enclosed lawned garden with a patio, ideal for soaking up the sunshine and enjoying elevated views over the countryside.

    Stunning cottage and location. Everything you could possibly want for in the cottage. Neighbours were very friendly and the village peacocks were lovely to see every morning. The cottage comfortably fit 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children and our beloved dog Heidi) Weather was great visited Whitby, Staithes and Eden Camp. Thankyou to Lee for your wonderful hospitality 10/10.

    We had a fabulous stay in this cottage, it has everything you need for your stay and has so much history. Definitely home from home.The location is great for visiting many different beaches and the train from Whitby to Pickering was a great experience with stunning scenery. The village itself is lovely with nice dog walks from the door and so peaceful. I’m sure we will be returning.
