Located on the West Cliff of Whitby, this holiday apartment has been restored to its former glory when Bram Stoker stayed here and was inspired to write the novel Dracula. With wonderful sea views, it is just a few hundred yards from the cliff lift to the beach, Pavilion theatre and swimming pool. Whitby offers boat trips, historic sites and fossil hunting. The Eskdale Steam Railway passes through the beautiful North York Moors. Many seaside villages including Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick and Sandsend are a short drive, or reached via the Cleveland Way by walkers. Shop, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

Great place to stay for all the amenities of Whitby. Lovely spacious and well equipped apartment- full of history and fascinating back story of Bram Stoker having stayed whist developing the famous 1897 gothic Dracula novel. We had the stake (steak) on Sunday. Visited the Abbey - take the easy route up and the fantastic views down the 199 steps back down. I loved the sign on the church door - please don’t ask our staff where Dracula’s grave is, it’s fictional, there was no Dracula, it’s a story not real life.! Ha ha. Great views from the apartment over the coast. Will return - already organising the caskets of natural earth.
