This semi-detached property offers a luxury stay, with many thoughtful features to enhance your visit. In a great location to explore the Yorkshire coast, creating memories to cherish.
Built in the 1950’s, this property, set over three levels, has been completely transformed to provide a truly incredible family holiday home. The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure that Carmel provides the highest level of luxury. On the ground floor there’s an open plan dining area opening out onto the kitchen where you can enjoy home cooked family meals together. This then leads through a sliding door to the cosy snug complete with a TV and a double sofa bed. On the ground floor there is also a twin bedroom and a shower room. From the dining room, steps lead down to the living room, a spacious and bright heart of the home with a crackling wood burner and which leads out onto the enclosed garden. This south-facing garden is a sun trap, with a summerhouse, artificial lawn and a barbecue. Up on the first floor there are three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and there is a separate family bathroom.
This property benefits from off road parking for two vehicles and is just a short walk away from Whitby’s many attractions, including the photogenic golden beach stretching all the way to Sandsend. Whitby is the perfect destination all year round, with lots of places on your doorstep which the family will love. There are beaches and coves nearby to explore, as well as a fascinating history which you can discover by visiting the museums or replica ships. Have some fun on the rowing boats along the river, enjoy horse riding on the moors or you can even treat the children to a day out at Flamingo Land. Beach 800 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

The house is gorgeous, well decorated, lovely and spacious. Fully equipped with everything you could need - even a teapot! The rooms are bright and comfortable. Outside space is very handy on sunny days. We loved our time here and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here to book it.

Pros kitchen well appointed good equipment and space. 3 Bathrooms/shower rooms one on ground floor. Plenty of towels. Heating and hot water effective. Beds very comfortable. Sofas comfortable. Close to Whitby Westcliff area with shops and cafes. Dog friendly.Cons Parking space very restricted needing lot of shuffling to fit car on also access to it between cars parked on road was hazardous.Visible areas had been cleaned but not under or behind furniture which was filthy. This is not what we are comfortable living in. Em spent couple of hours cleaning her bedroom before she could sleep in it.Eatimg in the Dining room was dark with only light borrowed from adjacent rooms.Outside table and chairs covered in cobwebs. Plastic lawn not attractive.Expensive you get much better for what you pay here. So overall its not a property we would come back to or recommend.
