While some maintenance issues are noted, the cottage's character and convenient location make it a favourite for many, with several guests expressing a desire to return.
Guests have raised concerns about cleanliness, mentioning cobwebs, dust, and a slug issue. However, the provision of nice sheets and towels is noted, suggesting that while some areas need attention, others are well-maintained.

The cottage is described as comfortable and cosy, particularly with the Aga and open fire. However, some guests mention issues with bedroom heaters and the need for more loo roll, indicating room for improvement in overall comfort.
Facilities like the well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, but guests report maintenance issues such as problems with the hoover, bathroom seal, and heating instructions. The need for repairs and clearer guidance on using the amenities is evident.

The cottage is a credit to its owners, one of the nicest we’ve stayed in over the 20 years or so we’ve been coming to Bay. It’s central to lower Bay and in an ideal position to access the shops, pubs, and beach. The cottage is very well equipped, particularly the kitchen, with lots of pots, pans and utensils. Having a filter/bean coffee machine was an added bonus too. The star of the kitchen has to be the Aga though, pure heaven and a dream to cook on. It cooks joints of meat to perfection. And the open fire was just what you needed after a walk in the snow. We’ve had the best time, thankyou. We can’t wait to come again.
