Shunner Howe Lodge is located in a 5 Star caravan park less than 2 miles from Egton village and only 5 miles from the coastal town of Whitby, on the edge of the North York Moors.

There is a stylish double height open plan living area and a separate fully fitted kitchen with Neff appliances, granite worktops and breakfast bar for two.

The dining area has a rustic look for relaxed holiday dining, with natural wood table, three-seater bench and chairs. A cosy real flame, woodburning-style gas stove makes a lovely centrepiece to the sitting room. Ease into one of the comfortable settees, a glass of wine in hand, and soak up those woodland views!

There is also a utility room with washing machine and dryer off the main entrance hallway.

Two smart bedrooms complete the ground floor, offering a blend of stylish design and woodland vistas - there’s a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a single bedroom with fitted sliding wardrobes. Added to this, an immaculate bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.

Moving upstairs, you’ll find a splendid seating/library area where you can read the morning papers or enjoy a quiet cuppa on the upper mezzanine level. The sunlight here is just lovely.

Nearby, the superb master bedroom with king size bed boasts glorious views of the woods plus a luxury en-suite shower room with good size shower, basin and WC.

Throw open the living space doors and dine in the great outdoors on your own private, enclosed veranda. In the warmer months, what could be nicer than the sound of birdsong as you close your eyes a moment in the comfortable outdoor seating.

There are many woodland paths to explore direct from your door. The park has been lovingly landscaped for your pleasure with mature trees and flowering shrubs – look out for a small flock of rare breed hens that roam free! The nearby village of Egton is charming and The Wheatsheaf Inn there provides delicious food and a welcome rest after a bracing walk on the North York Moors. If you’re visiting in August and early September, you’ll be treated to spectacular views of the heather in bloom.

Shunned Howe is perfectly situated for discovering the East coast. Nearby Whitby, famous for its maritime heritage, ‘old town’ and ruined Abbey which inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, has an old world charm all of its own. There are many pretty fishing villages and unspoilt stretches of sandy beach to explore. For good old fashioned family fun, sand castles and a donkey ride, then Scarborough is your place!
