Guests say

Nans Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its superb location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome basket, though it's noted that such gifts are subject to availability. The property boasts stunning harbour views and is well-equipped, despite some challenges with TV reception and car parking due to tight access.

Reviews consistently mention the cottage being clean and well-maintained, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness that guests are very satisfied with.

The location is frequently highlighted as fantastic, with its proximity to Whitby's attractions and the seaside, as well as offering stunning views, making it a standout feature.

Guests find the cottage spacious, comfortable, and cosy, with powerful showers and comfy beds. The presence of an additional lounge adds to the comfort, although there is a mention of restricted areas for pets.

The property is well-furnished with good quality fixtures and a fully equipped kitchen. However, points are deducted for the temperamental TV reception and the challenging parking situation.

The welcome basket and practical items provided are appreciated, demonstrating thoughtfulness. However, the lack of a dog welcome basket as mentioned and the wording on the welcome card regarding pets suggest room for improvement in this area.

We enjoyed our visit to Nan's cottage, very well located accommodation and immaculate throughout.I found it easier to reverse the Nissan Qashqai into the parking bay (folded wing mirrors). There was a generous welcome basket and the Log fire made it very cosy The TV reception is intermittent (You have to sign into BBC iPlayer etc)The restrictions on dogs would prevent us from booking again ( Not allowed upstairs and no secure area )

A beautiful cottage in a perfect location with stunning views over the harbour. Just a short walk to the end of the street and you have the 199 steps and all the beautiful shops. The cottage is in an immaculate condition just as the photos on the website show. We managed to park our Hyundai Kona it's tight but we found reversing in and using the reverse cameras so much easier. We loved that the cottage had been decorated with Christmas decorations for our stay, it was beautiful. Thank you so much for the welcome hamper and wine - lovely surprise 🤩. We will be returning to the cottage on our next trip to Whitby. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
