Plum Tree Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, the beautiful location, and the friendly owners. The lack of Wi-Fi and phone signal is noted, but often seen as an opportunity for a tech detox. The property is dog-friendly, with many enjoying the provided treats and walks in the area.
Reviewers consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, indicating meticulous care from the owners. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The cottage's location is frequently described as beautiful and peaceful, ideal for exploring the North Yorkshire coast and moors. Its proximity to local amenities and scenic walks adds to its appeal, despite some concerns about mobile signal.
Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the cottage cosy, well-furnished, and equipped with a super king bed. The homely atmosphere and secure garden for dogs are also appreciated.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the cottage being well-equipped and maintained. However, the absence of Wi-Fi and inconsistent phone reception slightly impacts the score in this modern age.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through personal touches like treats for dogs and welcome packs. While such gestures are warmly mentioned, it's important to note that these are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
