Rosemary Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its peaceful location, cleanliness, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds and thoughtful welcome packs, though some mention the sofa and bathroom fan could be improved. Its proximity to local attractions and the inclusion of parking are noted advantages.
Most guests found the cottage to be very clean, with only a few minor comments about specific areas needing more attention. The general tidiness was good, contributing to a high cleanliness score.
The location is frequently mentioned as ideal, quiet, and convenient for visiting nearby towns and attractions. Its proximity to Whitby and other favourite places is a significant positive factor.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, especially the beds and the peaceful environment. However, some guests found the sofa uncomfortable and the cottage less suitable for older guests due to steep stairs and low furniture.
Facilities are considered well-equipped and adequate for guests' needs, with a well-stocked kitchen and essential appliances. However, there are remarks about the need for maintenance on items like frying pans, knives, and the bathroom fan, which slightly lower the score.
Guests frequently mention and appreciate the welcome packs, which indicate thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gestures, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
