Public car park, 250 yards, parking permit included. No smoking.. This delightful, former fisherman’s cottage lies at the heart of the village of Staithes. One of a row, it is just 300 yards from the beach and small harbour – reached via winding cobbled streets. It is set on the Heritage Coast in the North York Moors National Park with the extensive sandy beaches of Runswick Bay and Sandsend a short drive, and Whitby, 10 miles. North Yorkshire Moors steam railway nearby. Fishing, golf and riding available locally. Shop and pub 200 yards.

Great stay lovely cottage in a good location . Only slight issue is that the bed is creaky and hard so didn’t sleep well, would benefit from a new bed and could do with updating the decor upstairs esp bathroom as shower pressure very slow and hot tap water pressure is only a trickle

The perfect stay! The cottage is even lovelier than in the pictures and has a really cosy, homely feel to it. The kitchen is really well equipped, we cooked a Christmas dinner here with ease. The snug upstairs is really comfy and had a great, big TV if you need extra living room space. The only thing we missed (but is perfect for all other guests) is that the owners have a parking permit in the cottage for guests to use so you don't have to pay! We only saw this after we'd paid unfortunately.Communication with the owners was great, they even added a Christmas tree to the cottage (which we weren't expecting!) which was such a wonderful touch. Highly recommend, one of the best we've stayed in!
