Wander the pretty streets of Pocklington, pausing in independent shops and eateries, and stocking up on local produce. Take time out to discover splendid Burnby Hall Gardens, with its beautiful lakes set in nine acres of woodland and garden. Follow a section of the scenic Yorkshire Wolds Way, a long-distance route of just under 80 miles, which passes close to Pocklington. Venture 15 miles into York to potter in the celebrated shopping streets of the Shambles, visit the city’s famous minster and spend time at the celebrated Jorvik Viking Centre.
