The cottage is beautiful with everything you could need. Ann couldn't have done more for us, she was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. A total joy.

The cottage itself is nice, being spacious and comfortable with a completely dog-proof garden. It's reasonably equipped although there is no visitor book for recommendations. The arrival arrangements and communication were excellent. However, the details on Cottages.com were seriously misleading regarding the area. It is not in the heart of the village and the details refer to visiting Laytham Castle which doesn't exist. It talks of a festive wonderland with shops which come alive at Christmas- there are no shops, magical or otherwise. We were not overly disappointed but a listing like this, presumably written by Cottages.com, is concerning.
