Absolutely lush property. Hopefully it's free next year during the Pickering war weekend because we are more than prepared to book here again. Very homely & comfortable. They have everything you need. Dog Bowls if you've forgotten and a dog bed. Ironing board, iron and airer. Kitchen is fantastic and easy enough to use the range. Dishwasher was an added bonus (according to my son who usually ends up doing the washing up) never seen a 13 year told get so exited. Lovely fridge freezer plenty room for cold drinks and the child's chicken nuggets and pizzas. Owner had a lovely welcome basket left for us, which came in perfect as they had biscuits on again, kept the child sweet. Smart TV and comfy living room and dining area for meals. Games and books and leaflets in the booklet with WiFi password. Bathroom is downstairs and well equipped clean and large bath to soak in after a long day. Comes with complementary shampoo & shower gel sample bottles. Bedrooms were also extremely well equipped with extras, towels and bed very comfortable. Lots of storage for clothes Only issue we had was the door in main bedroom is quite stiff and takes a lot of effort turning, I don't have good grip so we had to leave it open on a night and prop a cushion against it. We did think the place was haunted for a while as it felt like something was sat on the duvet at night at the foot of bed. But then husband realised it was just the weight of the duvet and the fact it was longer than the bed so we folded it back.Stairs are a little steep and narrow as my little Yorkie dog found out after trying to follow her dad up and falling down the first 5 (she's fine and had some chicken to recuperate) just adding as it may be an issue with mobility problems.Nice little village, pub over the road and on street parking ample. Nice little garden to sit in at front and watch people go past. (A small dog can get through gap on gate so be careful) although mine won't go far away from someone she knows others may. She did follow me out. I would highly recommend this place to book perfect for small families or couples. Very quaint little cottage. Defo be visiting again. Left some chocolates on dining table as a Thanks.

Lovely 2nd stay in this cottage. Pretty village and good pub nearby. Meadowcroft is a very comfortable cottage with everything you would need.

We really enjoyed our stay at Meadowcroft - thanks! The cottage was comfortable and well equipped; pleasant outdoor space to sit in the (occasional) sunshine, parking right outside. The village is lovely, with a number of short walks from the door and a river with plentiful bird life (dippers, kingfisher). The pub has no interest in catering for vegetarians but we were happy not to eat out!
