Two steps down lead into the Shaker-style kitchen, equipped with a gas range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, and coffee machine. French doors open out to an enclosed patio, ideal for al fresco dining and gatherings. Adjacent to the kitchen is a stylish dining room featuring a large dining table and a breakfast bar option. French doors from the dining room also lead to the enclosed patio, ensuring a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. Fantastic house, we stayed for my sisters hen do and the house was clean, very well presented and the bedrooms and bathrooms were great. The hosts were lovely and kindly greeted us on check in and wished us a good stay and gave us a bottle of Prosecco. The kitchen was very well equipped and the outside area was great room for all 14 of us to eat and sit out. I would highly recommend and would happily go back again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

On first impression this is a luxury villa with elegant and original decor. However we found some basic things not up to scratch for example there was no hand towel in the kitchen or washing up brush/sponge (only a pan scourer) or wiping down cloth. There was a random selction of glasses and although being given a bottle of Proseco on arrival which was greatly appreciated there were only 4 flute glasses. The desert spoons were also a most peculiar shape and not easy to eat off, too big and chunky.I had the large bedroom with a bath in which seemed well planned until I came to brush my teeth and wash my face in the tiniest wash basin imaginable! Not easy. I also noticed that some of the pillow cases on my bed had broken zips on. Not a problem for sleeping, just rather poor standard.I gave average for cleanliness as a bit of dusting and sweeping crumbs away under the kitchen island and other peices of furniture wouldn't have come amiss. The bathrooms however were all perfectly clean.The villa is well situated for walking into York to explore the many interesting sights there.

Yorvik villas was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The host was extremely accommodating for us, easy to contact and so lovely. We were even greeted with a bottle of Prosecco upon arrival which with it being my hen do weekend made it even more special! The house was absolutely beautiful, pictures do not do it justice - the attention to detail and cleanliness was amazing and the dining and living area was absolutely perfect for our evenings celebrating in the house - and of course the lovely hot tub area too! Even down to the front gardens of the house, it was stunning and definitely helped us to create a fantastic weekend! If you are thinking of booking this house - absolutely do not hesitate to do so. I would go back in a flash! The location is also perfect, being only a 5 minute drive into the town centre and also easily walking distance too. There is also a corner shop just down the road from the house which was extremely convenient.Thank you so much to yorvik villas, you have made the weekend unforgettable!
