The holiday cottage is well located for easy access to the beautiful historic city York and is an ideal touring base for the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, Scarborough, Filey, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Castle Howard, Beningbrough Hall and the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey. Golf available locally and horseracing at York, Thirsk and Ripon. Shop 3 1/2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 1/2 miles. Can be booked with property ref 26131 to accommodate up to 8 guests.

Lovely cottage. Owner came to meet us. Great character with great sense of humour. Despite the dip in temperature and snow, we were cosy and warm thanks to the underfloor heating throughout. Cottage had everything we could possibly need and was very clean. We visited Knaresborough, Boroughbridge, Skipton and York. Canal walk in Skipton was lovely. Planned to go to Fountains Abbey but it was closed due to bad weather! Lovely food at The George Hotel. The Blue Bell Country Inn in Arkendale was our favourite. Great food, beautifully decorated for Christmas, lovely staff. Would highly recommend. All in all a lovely 4 day break.

I’m a repeat visitor to this gorgeous, well equipt barn conversion in a picturesque setting. Amazing cottage, always spotless with lovely helpful owners nearby. Ideal location away from hustle and bustle but York, Harrogate, Boroughbridge all close by with all amenities, visitor attractions and shopping close by.I’ve been back several times visiting the area it’s always my favourite cottage
