Our stay at The Nab was absolutely fantastic. We had the most relaxing time there. My husband and I stayed Monday to Friday and both wish we could’ve stayed longer. It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. Our lives are so busy, so it was just so good to be able to stop and enjoy the silence. Apart from the odd sound from the sheep or horses, it is so quiet. The views are outstanding. We sat on the decking, wrapped in blankets watching the amazing sunset. We then enjoyed the wood fired hot tub that is set up for your first night (extra logs are available for £10 a bag if you want extra nights). Remember to look up at night. The stars are stunning. The lodge itself is very well designed and they have definitely made the most of a small space. Everything was immaculate and when they say “fully equipped kitchen”, they mean it. I took everything from home but there was no need. Nice touch with super soft towels and dressing gowns for guests as well. The accommodation is down the bottom of a long restricted road but it goes through the most beautiful village of Pockley - think lots of little thatched roofs and pretty cottages. I fell in love with it!The lodge is only around 5 minutes drive from Helmsley so lots of places to go out and plenty of eateries.I’m so sad that our break is over and I can’t wait to book for a return visit.

Absolutely brilliant stay! Was a little tight squeeze for 4 adults and a pup but that didnt matter. Beautiful views, beautiful animals. Great little village/town 20mins away in the car. We loved every minute of it, so did our puppy dog, he was living his best life watching the animals. Dont forget at night to look up. The stars are spectacular, my partner and sister in law even spotted a shooting star! We will definitely return!
