A great coastal property with superb views.. Tanamuir is a charming cottage sitting in the heart of the village of Strachur, overlooking the beautiful Loch Fyne in Argyll. The house is dog friendly and accommodates eight people, either seven adults or six adults and two children, it is beautifully furnished throughout offering great views from all the rooms.
The open plan cosy living/dining room has a wood burner at its heart, with comfy seating to curl up on around it whilst enjoying the gorgeous views over the water outside. This room leads on to a decked balcony, the ideal spot for sitting watching the sun go down over the loch. There is an additional spacious sitting room upstairs with a second TV, no arguments over what to watch of an evening! There is also an extremely comfortable sofa bed in this room that would accommodate one adult or two children. The spacious kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. There are three double bedrooms available in the house, two are located on the ground floor, one of which has an en-suite shower room and the other is beside a family shower/bathroom, a third bedroom is upstairs. They are all tastefully decorated and offer maximum comfort for a great night’s sleep. Outside parking is on the driveway in front of the house with room for two cars.
There is a shop/post office /café just across the road, and a pub is a short walk along the beach if the tide is right, if not you can go along the road, it’s just minutes away. It is a fantastic base for exploring all that Argyll has to offer and is a pathway to the great outdoors, views that are breath taking, wildlife on the doorstep, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, hikes and great wild swimming spots all just across the road from the house. It really is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a hard day exploring on an activity filled holiday.
With Oban just 90 minutes away, day trips to the isles, boat trips, horse riding and great award-winning restaurants, including a Michelin starred one in Strathlachlan just a few miles along the road..

Directions: Coming from England and the south the M6 motorway becomes the M74 motorway just after the Scottish border. Continue on the M74.
As you approach Glasgow, follow signs for the M8 motorway. The M8 motorway passes through the centre of Glasgow. Please note there can be traffic congestion and holdups in this area depending on the time of day.
Continue on the M8 motorway till you come to junction 30, Erskine Bridge. The Erskine Bridge is toll free. Stay on the left-hand lane on the bridge and take the off-slip road to the A82.
Continue on the A82 along Loch Lomond side for twenty miles. At Tarbet leave the A82 and proceed on the A83. Continue along the A83 for ten miles until you come to the junction of the A815.
Drive along the A815 for nine miles and you will see The Famous Creggans Inn on your left, you are now in Strachur, continue past the Creggans and take the first right hand turning, signposted for Tighnabruaich, Colintraive and Portavadie then about 400 yards on your left you will see the cottage.
