Guests say

The Factors House in Lochgilphead receives high praise for its comfort, cleanliness, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the property's spaciousness and the area's rich history and wildlife. While some mention patchy Wi-Fi and phone signal, the house's grandeur and location for exploring make it a special stay.

Guests consistently note the property's immaculate cleanliness, with one specifically mentioning how clean and comfortable the house was upon arrival.

The location is appreciated for its beauty and quietness, ideal for bird watching and exploring Neolithic sites. However, some guests experienced poor phone signal due to the location.

Reviewers find the house very comfortable, with soft but supportive armchairs and sofas, comfortable beds, high-standard bed linen, and powerful showers.

The house is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, but there are comments about poor Wi-Fi and a suggestion for better outdoor lighting. Maintenance work during a stay also affected the score.

While guests were pleased with the property and the owner's friendly greeting, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be evaluated for this category.

We were a group of 7 bird watchers up in Kintyre to undertake winter bird surveys for the British Trust for Ornithology. Factor's House worked well for us (out all day) and was very comfortable and well equipped for evening meals. Only suggestion is that an outside light over the front door would help.

Very comfortable house in a beautiful and quiet location. Only let down by poor wifi. Phone signal on two networks also a bit patchy but not unexpected due to location. Also the need to pay extra for your gas usage during your stay should be made much clearer in the booking process

Slightly disappointed that maintenance work was needed to the roof during our stay
