It had all the basic items to hand in the flat and easy for parking plus very close by several good eateries/coffee shops. The bed mattress is on the soft side (for me) but a lovely hot shower to ease you into the day.

The owner, Joan was very helpful and generous, we enjoyed the goodies. There was everything we could have wished for in the cottage, not least a lovely comfy bed, and having the convenience of the store opposite was a bonus. Never having been to this part of Scotland before, we found much to enjoy, although better weather would have been nice. We enjoyed dining out at the Masonic Arms and The Ship. The only downside, and we did know of course, was the reverse order of the cottage, and we did find climbing the staircase was a little challenging for a pair of octogenarians!
