Situated in the heart of the Victorian spa town of Moffat, this 250-year-old, stone, end-terraced cottage retains its traditional character and is an ideal base from which to explore the area. Horse riding, quad biking and golf are all available locally and the 7stanes offers world class mountain biking across Dumfries and Galloway, and the Scottish Borders. Rod hire is available in town for three fishing lochs at the Green Frog Centre on the edge of Moffat, which also has an adventure play park and animal farm. Edinburgh, Carlisle, Glasgow and the historic castles and abbeys in the borders are within an hour of Moffat. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Our 3rd visit to Kirsty cottage,We have stayed here in November and it's just a perfect cottage, relaxing comfortable, all amenities on your door step. The local people are so lovely, If you have a pet pooch (we have) it's a dog lovers paradise, even when your dog needs a *** at 2.30 in the morning, a stroll in the market town I felt safe and relaxed although tired, Just a perfect way to relax at Kirsty Cottage.

Had 3 days staying at Kirsty cottage. Cottage was tidy and comfortable. As it is near the high street it's location is excellent for having a meal and visiting the local shops. Also ideal for walks. In a quiet area so peaceful to relax in.The cottage is cosy and warm and beds and settee were comfortable.A couple of things to say is that there was no seal on the shower door which resulted in water spilling onto the bathroom floor. Also, it would be worthwhile stocking some antiseptic spray so you can clean worktops etc.Overall we had a fantastic break and would consider using this property again.
