Chippermore Cottage is a well-loved property praised for its stunning views, wildlife sightings, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the warm, cosy atmosphere and the well-equipped kitchen. The access track is noted as challenging, and while some find the decor and furnishings a bit tired, the charm of the cottage and its surroundings often compensates for these aspects.
The cottage is generally described as clean and tidy, with guests feeling comfortable during their stay. There are no significant complaints about cleanliness, suggesting good standards are maintained.
The location is highly praised for its superb views and proximity to wildlife and nature. The isolated setting is ideal for guests looking for tranquillity, although the access road is mentioned as a bit challenging.
Guests find the cottage warm and cosy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, some comments about 'solid' duvets and the need for modernisation suggest that comfort could be enhanced with updates to bedding and decor.
The property is well-equipped with necessary appliances, but there are issues with maintenance such as non-working TVs, lights, and clocks. The presence of outdated information materials also suggests a need for attention to detail in facilities and maintenance.

Maxwell used to practise his otter on Monreith House's beach. Oscar Kokoschka, an expressionist painter, lived here during wwii. Port William is a lovely seaside village near sandy beaches, a 9-hole links course 2 miles away, walking and cycling in the Galloway highlands, and Wigtown, Scotland's first Book Town.
