Quarter Acre House receives glowing praise for its spacious, beautifully presented interiors and stunning views over Loch Ryan. Guests consistently highlight the immaculate cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and secure, expansive garden—ideal for dogs and families. The peaceful rural setting offers a relaxing escape, with easy access to Stranraer and local attractions. The hot tub and log burner are much-appreciated bonuses. While a few minor maintenance issues with the hot tub and the absence of a tumble dryer are noted, the overwhelming sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.
Cleanliness is repeatedly described as excellent, with guests noting the property is spotless, immaculately clean, and very well kept. No significant negative comments were made regarding cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful, peaceful countryside setting and spectacular views, while still being conveniently close to Stranraer and local attractions. Some mention limited activities nearby, especially in the evenings, but this is generally seen as a positive for those seeking tranquillity.
Guests consistently mention the spaciousness, comfortable beds, and relaxing atmosphere. The house is described as warm, cosy, and perfect for unwinding, with special mention of the secure garden for dogs and family-friendly layout.
Facilities are highly rated, with a well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, log burner, and ample parking. Minor issues include occasional hot tub maintenance concerns and the lack of a tumble dryer, but these do not detract significantly from the overall experience.
There are no specific mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches such as hampers or treats in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.
