Maisie Cottage is praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and superb location near the harbour. The property offers a well-equipped kitchen with sea views and a secure, private garden. It's ideal for both couples and families, though some guests suggest it could benefit from additional bathrooms and modernisation.
Cleanliness has been a concern for some guests, with reports of tea-stained mugs, a grimy bath, and general cleanliness not meeting expectations. However, not all reviews mention cleanliness issues.
The location is highly praised, being just a short walk from the harbour and local amenities, and offering easy access to the Fife coastal path. The views from the property are also appreciated.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm and spacious interior. The beds are described as comfy, and the garden adds to the overall comfort. However, some guests noted issues with hard towels and the need for a second bathroom.
Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, maintenance issues such as non-working lights, hard towels, and worn furnishings have been noted. The need for redecoration and updates is mentioned by several guests.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Great cottage, very spacious and comfortable. Quite a few lights or switches not working but overall this didn’t detract from our holiday.

We had a lovely, relaxing break in Maisie Cottage. The house is very spacious, comfortable and warm. It is well equipped and has everything you need. We were there as a couple, but it can sleep up to six. I do feel it would benefit from a second bathroom but it was ok for the two of us.It is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the harbour and the views from the kitchen and the main bedroom are wonderful.I would highly recommend this lovely cottage for couples but I think a larger party may struggle with just the one bathroom.

This cottage has good and bad points.A good location, easy to park, warm and comfortable. However it's let down by the brick hard, hand and bath towels, they where like sandpaper.Curtains hanging off in the bedrooms and window in twin bedroom, condensation and what looked like mould in-between the double glazing. No washing up liquid and some of the lamps not working.
