The lodge accommodation is beautifully presented and comprises of an open plan living area with modern electric feature fire and TV above. The dining/kitchen area boasts all the modern appliances for the chef to whip up a feast! There are two bedrooms where guests can relax to after a long day exploring; the master with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower, plus a further twin bedroom and separate family shower room. From the lounge are double patio doors leading out to a spacious garden with outdoor furniture, and sunken hot tub to sit so you can enjoy the sea views, and the Cairngorm’s Mountain national park can be seen on a clear day.
Based on the Stewart’s Cameron Resort near St Andrews, guests have access to sauna, gym, spa, bar, restaurant and children’s play park. St Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife are jewels in Scotland’s crown, offering a blend of historical significance and natural beauty. Just back from a 3 day stay in Lodge 78. It was absolutely amazing, great location, well equipped, comfortable & clean. Barbara was so friendly & provided all the information we needed. Only regret was not staying longer!

We had a generally enjoyable stay at the resort over the Christmas period. The lodge was clean and well equipped, the on-site facilities are excellent. We have stayed at this resort several times before in different lodges and have always had positive experiences, which is why we have already booked to return.However, on the final night of our stay in Lodge 78, one of our children became locked inside the main bathroom during the night, as the door would not open from the inside. Fortunately, it still opened from the outside. I informed the owner first thing the next morning of the faulty lock so that any safety concerns could be addressed. I fully understand issues like this can and do happen, but the overall response from the owner was disappointing, with no apparent concern shown for our child. Our overall enjoyment was significantly affected by the way this situation was handled.As a courtesy, I paid the full cost of replacing and fitting the faulty door handle, even though there had been no deliberate damage on our part. Although we will continue to return to the resort, following this experience, we would not be comfortable staying at Lodge 78 in the future.
