Dating back to the late 1700’s, the cottage is one of the oldest properties in this quaint fishing village and was totally re-fitted in 2007. Ivydene Cottage offers exceptionally comfortable, deceptively spacious and modern self-catering accommodation within a traditional listed exterior, and is an ideal base for a relaxing family holiday in the Highlands. The cottage is conveniently located only a 2-minute walk from the beach and a short walk from shops, local eateries and inns. Inverness is a 30-minute drive.

A fantastic cottage with everything you need for a great stay. Super comfy and excellent facilities in the kitchen etc. Owner met us at the door to open up and show us around. Plenty to see and do both driving and from the door around Cromarty itself. Do try the Fishertown Inn - super friendly and good food (had a meal here one night and then played games until closing time)Take a trip out with EcoVentures - although we didn't see any dolphins\whales on our trip still plenty of birds and the pilot gave us a great commentary of various parts of the area.Splash Cafe by the ferry (Cromarty -> Nigg) produces amazing drinks and the cheese toasties are amazing!!!
