Springburn is a lovely well equipped cottage. We booked the cottage as we have family that live in Dunvegan, this is a 20 minute drive away. The views from this cottage are amazing and we loved the location just being out of the way a little. The cottage was very much a home from home and the stock of washing up liquid, dish wash tablets, hand soaps toilet roll, cling film, tin foil etc really did make things easier. We also made use of the washer and dryer. No complaints at all. The only thing that didn’t work for us was the 2 x double beds. We were a family of 4 with 2 children and parents had to split up. If there one of the beds was a king that could split into 2 single beds that would have been much better for us… but we did know this on booking. Glendale itself is a lovely little village - we visited the store a few times but the cafe was closed when we passed it. Both are a 20 minute walk away. We had takeaway pizza from Glendale wood fire pizza van which parks outside the community hall on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We also visited the community hall on the Tuesday for the craft fair.Further afield we visited Neist Point, Fairy Glen, Portree, the Museum of Island life and we also took part in a little summer treasure/wildlife hunt round Dunvegan for children ran from the Post Office which they loved!Overall would highly recommend this comfortable cottage if visiting the North part of the island.

Great location and view. Road towards the house was full of holes.

We had a lovely holiday at Springburn. The cottage had everything we needed (except maybe some kitchen scales) and was warm, comfortable and well situated in a quiet area of Skye which was lovely to return to after days spent sight seeing around the island.
