Head 6.5 miles to the Culloden Battlefield, where the final Jacobite rising and last pre-arranged battle on British soil took place. From Inverness Harbour, take a cruise out on Loch Ness to see if you can spot the legendary monster or book a wildlife watching trip on the Moray Firth. Lace up your boots and walk 2 miles to pick up the South Loch Ness Trail and walk beside the still waters. For those who enjoy serious hiking or climbing, the Cairngorms National Park begins 20 miles away.
