After a pretty dire year, my wife and I decided to bring our wedding forward and rather than honeymoon in the Caribbean as planned, spend 5 days in the Highlands, booking 4 nights at Red Kite Cottage. My wife had never visited Scotland and I’d never been further North than Aviemore in the UK.We could not have made a better choice! It was unbelievably wonderful, made all the more perfect for staying at Red Kite Cottage. The cottage is perfectly located for exploring the Highlands with beaches, lochs, castles and many other sites all in easy reach, driving through some of the most spectacular landscapes. The cottage was well equipped, clean, tranquil and the perfect place to relax in the evenings after a day of exploring. The hosts, Paul and Margaret were lovely and welcoming. We have 2 very highly strung rescue dogs who are reactive to people and other dogs and they have had the most enjoyable time. We have never seen them so relaxed and happy (and actually tired!) U fortunately, they now think every drive in the car is a tour of the Highlands! We have now decided the Highlands is our retirement goal.Thank you Paul and Margaret.

What an amazing place to stay. It had everything we needed and our 2 dogs loved it!!! We are already planning on returning next April as we are looking to move up there. It was so quiet and relaxing but close to shops and places to visit. We can't wait to come back. The Owners are so friendly and welcoming. Great recommendations for places to visit in the area.
