We stayed a week in March Cottage, The house was spotlessly clean and owners have gone to great lengths to provide a 'home from home' accommodation, with lots of nice touches and just about everything you would need in the kitchen and around the house. As with many remote cottages in the Highlands, the water is from a natural source so has a rusty brown colour - we were assured it was safe to drink but we just bought large bottles of water with us for drinking. The location is quite remote, although easily accessible from the main road across a single track road with passing places. It is situated right next to the River Cassley and very tranquil. There are lots of birds to enjoy, siskins, chaffinch, bullfinch, great-spotted woodpecker, common buzzard, as well as occasional golden eagle and white-tailed eagle. Sika deer roam close to house at night and the odd red deer. One glance of a red squirrel.

This was our 5th holiday to March cottage. It's a beautiful, clean comfortable house which is situated in a stunning quiet glen filled with wildlife. We saw white tailed sea eagles, osprey, merlin in the glen with lots and lots of other birds and wildlife and cuckoos called all day. We saw salmon leaping at Cassley falls not far from the cottage. It was a wonderful sight after heavy rain. If you want total peace and quiet surrounded by nature this is the holiday home for you. We would be back in a heartbeat. Thank you again Mark and Paula for always making us welcome.
