Wow this lodge couldn't be better. Perfectly situated for exploring the Highlands. Set in country but close to several villages, the lodge was very quiet, very well decorated, maintained and equipped. The private safe garden was ideal for our dog or would be for a young family. The Hosts were welcoming and available if needed.I would recommend this lodge to my friends and family.

An excellent, quiet place to enjoy a break in the Northern Scottish Highlands. All amenities are within a 20 minute drive and access to roads means that everywhere from Skye to the Black Isle is readily accessible. A great place for a quiet break, or a base for lots of touring, hill-walking, or nature spotting.

North Lodge gate house is very comfortable, beautifully decorated, furnished and very well equipped with appliances and amenities. Parking is well off road and ample space but it is a gravel surface which was interesting as we were on a motorcycle. The cottage is about 2 miles out of the village of Muir of Ord and situated on a long lane making it quiet and peaceful. The village has a well stocked CO-Op supermarket and an Esso petrol station with a small supermarket. There is a very good Chippy which is open all day. The location lends itself to exploring parts of the NC 500 and the attractions in and around the Inverness area, Loch Ness and even parts of the west coast. The hosts, Stephen and Andrea, are very helpful and are close by.
