Just back from a week's stay, at Paterson Cottage. When we arrived we both felt it looked even better than the pictures on the website. The cottage is a great size and both the beds, and the bedding are very high quality. The kitchen is fantastic, and again it is kitted out, with all top end appliances. With full original user manuals available for the guest. The property has a fabulous garden that our dog absolutely loved. There is a gate at the end of the garden and a set of gates at the approach to the cottage. Once you have closed them both, you can do as we did and leave the patio doors open and relax, knowing your dog is completely safe.We found the cottage to be very well located for the areas we like to visit. We already knew the area very well, having previously stayed in another property in Muir of Ord twice. As another visitor has pointed out, the cottage is very close to the busy main road, and on the first night especially, partly due to being somewhere new, getting to sleep took a little while. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider bringing ear plugs or cotton wool, but it was never a major issue for us, and after the first night we slept very well, and it's unfair to criticize the owners, for something out with there control. So to sum up, we are highly likely to return to the area again, and when we do it will definitely be to return to Paterson Cottage.

Excellent. It was so good to be back. A lovely break.

We stayed at Paterson Cottage for 2 weeks. It would be helpful if there was a sign placed near the road side with the cottage name on it as it is a very busy road. The noise from the road was a bit off putting but you did get use to use after a while. The location is very good as you are close to Inverness, Muir of Ord, Dingwall a gateway to many places. The cottage is more or less closed in, some wire across the gate near to the back door would give dog owners total peace of mind to not have to keep a watch on them. There are many woodland walks in the area and one of these is only a short walk from the cottage which is really good for the dog and to meet local people. We found the cottage to be nicely laid out and the decoration was lovely. The kitchen had all you needed the large pantry was good to have to keep your own food in as was the utility room a good extra that you do not often have. A lovely place to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of every day life..
