This property was an absolute gem of a find. We could not have imagined a better accommodation than this. We were a group of 8 adults who were away for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. We wanted peace, tranquility, space and comfort. We found all of this and more in this delightful location. The house was spacious with lots of room to unwind and relax. There were several seating areas both inside and out, which were comfortable and had affording views. We were not close to adjourning properties and were able to view the Northern lights in the dark clear skies. The property was exceptionally well equipped, with large amounts of cutlery, glasses and crockery. All items were of high quality. There were several en suites, bathrooms and showers and a very efficient hot water and heating system. We were not cold or short of hot water at any point. The area of Nethy Bridge is delightful. The farm shop, coffee shop and local corner store are all well stocked, reasonably priced and offered huge selections of produce, including many locally sourced products. Whilst we were there we employed a private chef for a Saturday night meal which we used having seen a link to the service on the cottages.com website. There is a bbq hut in the grounds of the house which is very well equipped and easily seated 8 adults. The bbq was a highlight for our whole weekend. Finally I highly rated our full experience of booking and attention to detail from the owners. They were exceptionally friendly, helpful and easy to contact. They could not have been more helpful. We would highly recommend this property

Our family of three generations had a lovely stay at Balnagowan Mill, very comfortable, lots of space, very well equipped, and great location. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. We especially loved the barbecue hut which since our visit was in February we used to toast marshmallows. It was also a huge bonus to find there were enough mountain bikes for us to use, which we had fun on in the local area. The garden was heaving with wildlife from rabbits to pheasants, with snowdrops coming up and bird feeders in the trees. Lovely to see but it meant keeping a close eye on the dog because the garden was not enclosed. Not a problem for us, there were plenty of walks close by to take him on. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future.
