Greshornish Boathouse offers a tranquil retreat with stunning loch views and abundant local wildlife, ideal for a peaceful getaway. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere and the unique experience of staying right on the water's edge. While some find the property and its amenities charming and well-suited for relaxation, others note areas for improvement, particularly in maintenance and cleanliness.
Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property cosy and clean, while others reported issues with dog hairs, dust, and mould. The presence of snail trails and a musty bathroom were also mentioned, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, stunning views, and wildlife spotting opportunities. However, some guests noted the proximity to a fish farm and its associated smells, as well as the condition of the access road. Overall, the location's natural beauty seems to outweigh these concerns.
Guests generally find the boathouse cosy and the bed comfortable, with a warm retreat atmosphere. However, some discomforts are noted, such as a high bed, a shower unsuitable for tall people, and a sofa-bed of poor quality. The mixed feedback suggests a satisfactory level of comfort with some areas that could be enhanced.
Facilities receive mixed reviews. Positive remarks include the presence of a wood burner and well-equipped kitchen. Criticisms focus on maintenance issues like broken shower-heads, mould, and outdated kitchen utensils. The lack of phone signal and Wi-Fi is also mentioned, though this may be a plus for those seeking to disconnect.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the host. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

The view of the Loch from the window was amazing with a spot of Otter spotting every day.

Little disturbance if any from the nearby fish farm. Some of the fixtures and fittings could do with updating, and the access road is awkward, especially at the end of a long journey. Plenty of excellent scenery and places to visit in the area.

Very cosy. A bath and washing machine were a really good extra in a relatively compact property. Would recommend to anyone who wanted to be away from it all but a car journey from all the amazing places you want to visit on Skye.
