Shore View enjoys an outstanding shore side location with dramatic views over Portree Bay and the Cuillin. The property is a comfortable and welcoming holiday home, in the quiet area of Bayfield. Portree is the main town for shopping, with many restaurants, craft shops, boat trips, swimming pool and a climbing wall. Aros Visitor Centre has various live performances and a cinema. The Island has much to offer the outdoor enthusiast with walking for all levels. Enjoy coastal walks, boat trips, fishing, kayaking, pony trekking and mountain biking. There are many places to visit such as Museum of Island Life, Dunvegan Castle ,Clan Donald Centre and Talisker Distillery. Beach 20 yards. Shop and pub 200 yards, restaurant 100 yards.

A lovely cottage with a great view and good location for visiting the sites of Skye. However we were without internet or tv (Sky Glass) all week. Owner did not inform me of this until we were a couple of hours away from arriving at cottage, it’s a long journey from Wiltshire. She said an engineer would be out on the Tuesday and I was happy to go with this thinking the problem would be fixed. It wasn’t fixed at all! She said it was due to a storm a week or so previously so she could have been in touch earlier and maybe we could have got in touch with cottages.com to see if we could change the booking. All she kept saying was it wasn’t her fault and that she was paying Sky for a service she wasn’t getting, which is true but we also paid for a service we weren’t getting when we paid to rent the cottage. Have been in touch with cottages.com, just waiting on their response.Shame owner couldn’t have offered something to us and maybe claimed back from Sky.Real shame as it spoilt our enjoyment of the cottage in the evenings. Other neighbouring properties weren’t affected as we asked neighbours.

The location is stunning. The cottage is very clean, well furnished, light and spacious.All local amenities are close by , but the cottage feels very peaceful and quiet and far from the town, even though it is actually very close.I would thoroughly recommend it.
