Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. The Barn is one of three barn conversion holiday cottages situated on a working farm just a few yards from the Pentland Firth. Immaculately presented throughout and with stunning views across the sea with the Orkney Isles clearly visible, The Barn provides a wonderful base for a memorable get-away-from-it-all holiday. The main living accommodation is open-plan. The living area opens up through French windows to the garden beyond and affords the most incredible seascape views. The kitchen area is bright, modern and well-equipped and there is a modern dining table for four. The spacious bedroom is attractively furnished and has a super kings zip and link bed which can convert to twin beds as required. There is a modern bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and basin. The Barn is situated close to some of the most fantastic beaches in the UK. With miles of golden sand and massive sand dunes forming a backdrop, the nearby Dunnet beach is simply spectacular. Surfing, body-boarding, sand-buggying, swimming, horse riding and wild-life watching are all local pastimes, yet this superb beach is never crowded.
The Barn can be booked together with The Byre (CC511322) and The Stable (CC511323) to accommodate up to 8 guests.

Peaceful location with ever changing views of Orkney. Very clean and comfortable with a welcome treat of home made cakes and milk. Would recommend as a base to explore the area.

Great little cottage that is fantastically positioned to explore the north east coast of Scotland.The added enjoyment of sitting by the fence watching the seals below in the harbour was a delight we were not expecting. While watching the seals the bird verities on the foreshaw was fantastic.Highly recommended with great hosts who had left some home bakes (which were delicious 🤤) and some great information and insights to the local area.
