The modern kitchen, complete with range-style cooker, makes long, relaxed suppers after a day outdoors a pleasure rather than a chore.

Outside, the enclosed garden offers uninterrupted views across the strath, with garden furniture and BBQ for long evenings under open skies. A path meanders gently down through the hillside to the river Kanaird — perfect for a quiet stroll, a picnic, or simply sitting beside the water.

With private parking for three cars and secure bike storage, Hill Cottage makes an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and those seeking a true Highland escape. Despite its peaceful setting, it remains well placed for exploring the dramatic coastline, mountains and villages of the northwest Highlands.

Lovely clean cottage. Furnished beautifully and very well equipped kitchen. Great communication from owner when we needed to ask questions. Lots of local information provided.

We were in Scotland to explore the West Coast from Ullapool to Durness - as this is right on the NC500 (though you can't hear it) it was perfect for our trip. The shower was warm, the TV (we watched it once) was chock full of channels and the view was magnificent.

This is such a spacious comfortable cottage in a great location, just a short drive from Ullapool. The cottage has everything you need and plenty of space to park. The pictures don't do it justice, would definitely stay here again
