Clairnnes Cottage, on the shore of Loch Lomond, has been renovated to provide excellent quality accommodation.. Set in a most fantastic location with uninterrupted views over the field to the shore of Loch Lomond and the mountains and forest beyond. Clarinnes Cottage is the perfect location for couples and families to revel in the ambience and warmth of this remarkable detached cottage. Extended and refurbished in 2021 to an excellent standard throughout, guests will find a welcoming and bright home with ample space for all to enjoy.
On the ground floor the spacious and airy open plan living area boasts a wood burner and plenty of comfortable seating, a cosy spot to relax. The kitchen is well equipped with contemporary appliances for preparing a family meal and a dining table. Patio doors offer lovely views and lead to the decking and hot tub. The generous master bed room is attractively presented with an en-suite shower room and has a patio leading on to a decking and is ideal for guests who are less mobile. There is also a family bathroom. The first floor has two further bedrooms each with great views down to the loch and across the countryside. Stepping out onto the decking and garden it is perfect for al fresco meals or watching the wild birds and sometimes a red squirrel, or unwinding in the hot tub and in the evening, star gazing.
Located in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park on the shore of Loch Lomond there are lots of tracks and foot paths as well as cycle tracks from your front door. The West Highland Way is easily joined and you can follow part of it along the shore surrounded by breath-taking scenery. Explore the loch on the water with a cruise and visit the many islands or hire your own boat and take a picnic for a day on the water. Ideal for a day out and within easy driving distance, Loch Lomond Shores has a sea life aquarium, water sports, shops, restaurants and regularly hosts events. The cosmopolitan city of Glasgow can be reached in under an hour. The city centre is just packed with places to eat, drink, shop as well as theatres, tourist attractions and historic buildings. Clarinnes Cottages is an ideal location from which to explore one of Scotland’s most picturesque areas, and makes for a relaxing stress free break. Shop 6 miles, pub 5½ miles.. 3 steps to entrance.

Clarinnes Cottage is super, a lovely home with all the necessary comforts for a relaxing break, good beds, wonderful showers, great kitchen appliances, and a lovely hot tub, which was well maintained and kept its temperature. Beautifully decorated throughout. We loved this cottage, and would return again in a heartbeat. The cottage is beside the entrance Cashel Campsite, but, that is a boon, because the campsite shop is there with friendly staff, who encourage you to buy Midge repellent, which in the West of Scotland is a necessity, so, if you have come unprepared, they sell it.. literally on your doorstep too. I made the mistake of taking our little dachshunds for a walk on the evening we arrived, without Midge repellent applied, and they made a feast of my face in the brief 20 minutes or so I was out. The loch is accessible from the campsite too, and access to the shore is welcomed. Cashel Forest is close by, with lots of trails well marked, and plenty of seating along them for those who might want to sit and enjoy the sounds of the birds singing... or just immerse themselves to the tranquillity. The decking at the cottage was so pretty at night with solar lights, and the garden furniture on the decking is also very comfortable, so, both inside and outside, the cottage offers a welcome and relaxing time. The garden is gated too, so, that it is safe for young children to walk around, no danger of casually wandering to the road. The welcome pack was lovely, and very thoughtful, we thank you very much. The book about the cottage was interesting, and helped us appreciate a little of the local history. Clarinnes Cottage is situated close to the West Highland Way, a well used hiking route, and from the cottage you can walk along it to view the Loch not too far from the cottage, with beautiful views . It was wonderful, and we had a local grocery chain delivery on our arrival, so , without naming who we used, be assured this is a delivery postcode for the major supermarket chains. Beyond that, the area has plenty to offer to go to visit places of interest or for a meal somewhere, and the scenery is just awesome. We Loved it, and can only recommend it highly !

We loved our stay at Clariness Cottage 😄 the cottage is gorgeous and right next to the Loch. There's loads of walks you can do straight from the house too, so no need to drive anywhere once you are there. We will definitely be returning!

We had a fabulous week at Clarinnes Cottage. The cottage itself is well equipped, beautifully decorated and spacious enough for four adults and two dogs. The hot tub was a lovely bonus, especially after a lot of walking! The location is great for exploring the area, being opposite Cashel Forest was amazing for dog walks. Hazel was a great host too. We would highly recommend a stay here.
