Aberlour 4.5 miles. The Spinney is a pleasant, detached cottage in the village of Carron next to the speyside way near to the vibrant village of Aberlour in Moray, Scotland. Being in a fabulous location with a lovely, warming interior, the property acts as an excellent stay for a relaxing countryside getaway or a break full of walking, cycling or wildlife spotting. On your left as you enter the cottage lies the alluring, spacious sitting room uplifted by a stunning arch window along with a woodburning stove and some wonderful wooden beams, this is the perfect place to sit and relax of an evening. The roomy kitchen/diner has rustic quarry tiled flooring, a gas cooker and a pantry to give a real country cottage feel whilst you prepare and enjoy your meals together as a group. The ground floor of The Spinney also boasts two charming double bedrooms, one with a fresh en-suite shower room to make you feel right at home. Enjoy a soak in the sumptuous bathroom after a day of walking the popular Malt Whisky Trail, Speyside Way or the hills of the Cairngorms National Park. The interior is complete with a first floor twin room. Make the most of your superb location by sitting on your private patio with a refreshing drink and taking in the views of the countryside and watching the red squirrels in the woodland nearby. Aberlour is a delightful holiday base, offering the essentials of a pub/restaurant and a couple of shops to enjoy. Archiestown is a village located in Morayshire, north of the River Spey. In the centre is a tree-lined square, a conservation area, and the Archiestown Hotel. Archiestown is well-kept and friendly, it has won the Moray village in bloom. The village has a shop, Post Office and craft shops, while the hotel has a pub and restaurant. Archiestown is on the Malt Whisky Trail, with the Macallan Distillery to the east and the Cardhu Distillery to the west. In the heart of Speyside, Archiestown is a location for touring the area. Aberlour is famous for its distillery and the Walkers Shortbread factory, and is a great location for some fishing too!
