This spacious, detached, single-storey cottage has been fully renovated to a very good standard, and is situated on the owners’ a working sheep and dairy farm. With its own private hot tub and barbecue area, the cottage offers views over open countryside and is situated close to the towns of Dalry and Lochwinnoch. For walkers or those bringing their four legged friends, there are dog and boot washing facilities.
Located on Scotland’s west coast, the property is ideally located to explore the beauty of the Ayrshire coastline. Ayrshire offers a varied coastline with villages, beaches and rocky coves to explore, and is an ideal location for cyclists and walkers with Skelmorlie heralding the start of the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk. Inland there is walking, cycling, gardens and castles to visit along with opportunities to ride, fish and golf (the world famous Turnberry course is nearby). Culzean Castle Country Park, extending for over 550 acres, has a network of wooded trails passing along the beach. For water sports, Castle Semple is within easy reach, and mountain bike hire can be found at Lochwinnoch, 5 miles away.
Explore the islands of Cumbrae, Arran and the Isle of Bute or catch a ferry to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula which gives you great access to the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily reached for a day trip. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Excellent holiday in the peace and quiet of the countryside with the added benefits of a games room and hot tub. Next door to owners dairy farm. Need to use the car to reach a good pub and local shops unless you are a keen walker. Good base for trips to Ayreshire cost. Owners really friendly and helpful with welcome treats on arrival. Dogs well provided for.

Wow! This is one of the best equppied holiday homes we have stayed in. It had everything you could want including a fully stocked spice drawer/rack.On the 2nd night of our stay we could get the oven to warm up. No problem as there was a air fryer. The next morning (Sunday) I contacted the owner who replied that a new oven had been ordered and an electrician was booked to come and fit later that morning. I have confirmation from the owner at 2pm that afternoon that a new oven had been fitted and tested. What a response to a problem. A complete resolution within 6 hours of reporting the problem and all on a Sunday.We cannot praise this holiday cottage highly enough or the wonderful service received from the owner. Would definately stay here again

We had a lovely stay at Hillview. It was a complete home from home. So clean and tidy. Facilities were all modern. We had a dog with us and all the extra towels, bowls, even a crate if needed were so thought through. We had fresh scones on arrival as well as the essentials and even more waiting for us! The games room and hot tub meant we spent most of our time at the cottage which is something we don’t usually do. There was loads of local walks for dogs and lovely places to explore. Will definitely be back!
