A stylish, recently renovated shower room with a spacious walk-in shower completes the downstairs.

Upstairs, the cottage boasts two comfortable bedrooms. The stairs are not steep by Arran standards, but they do narrow a bit at the bottom, so take care. Lamlash itself offers several charming cafes, pubs, and shops, all within walking distance. Enjoy freshly caught seafood, local ales, and warm Scottish hospitality at the village’s waterfront restaurants.

From this central base, you are perfectly positioned to explore the rest of Arran, often described as "Scotland in Miniature" for its diverse landscapes and rich heritage. Hike the rugged peaks of Goatfell, the island’s highest mountain, or take a gentle stroll through the ancient Brodick Castle and Gardens. Learn about Arran’s fascinating history at the Isle of Arran Heritage Museum, or take the kids to Auchrannie Resort for swimming and spa experiences.

Do not miss the mystical Machrie Moor Standing Stones, the striking ruins of Lochranza Castle, or a round of golf at one of the island’s seven courses, including the UK’s only 12-hole course at Shiskine (Blackwaterfoot). Visit the (Lochranza) Arran or Lagg Distilleries for a taste of locally crafted single malt whisky, or the Arran Cheese Shop and Arran Aromatics for locally made delights. The island’s coastal roads also make for fantastic cycling or scenic drives, with chances to spot deer, golden eagles, and even red squirrels along the way. Whether you are after adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, this traditional Lamlash cottage offers a cosy and characterful base for a truly memorable Arran holiday.
