Cotlea East Cottage is a real find - a beautifully furnished stone cottage with all the trappings you need for an indulgent and restful holiday with your friends or family. It features gorgeous furnishings and not one, but two, wood burners; one in the cosy living room and one in the dining room. There are also comfortable beds and a brilliant modern wet room. Attached to the owners’ property, the cottage has a large, secluded, fully enclosed garden with fine views over the fields and makes a delightful setting for a barbeque or al fresco meal. There is a large field attached to the property, roughly seven acres, perfect for dog/guests exercise.
Situated just 3 miles from the small town of Alyth, the property has a wealth of attractions and amenities within easy reach. There are some great golf courses here along with super walks in the Den of Alyth, a wooded glen on the outskirts of the town. A few miles beyond is the bustling market town of Blairgowrie with its good selection of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. Heading west, enjoy a scenic route to the popular town of Pitlochry with its theatre, shops and fish ladder. In the winter months try your hand at skiing at Glenshee, just 20 miles away, or travel a little further and enjoy the stunning scenery of Braemar. Golf, horse riding, hill walking and cycling are all available in abundance in this lovely area. Beautiful beaches (many year round dog friendly) along with stunning coastline only a 40 minute drive away including the University town of St. Andrews with its spectacular beach and world famous golf course.

Fantastic holiday recently at cotlea cottage. We had four generations staying there and two dogs and it all worked perfectly. Well stocked kitchen, lovely welcome pack and a beautiful garden to sit out in. The field for the dogs is just brilliant. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Wow, this was a fantastic cottage holiday. Wonderful property, superb facilities and lovely hosts. We stayed for a week and were sad to leave. Very peaceful, great field attached to property which our dog really enjoyed. The shower is first rate and the log burners(2) are excellent. Always plenty of logs available for the burners, so warm and homely. Plenty of wildlife around the cottage and grounds. Easy access to many local places of interest and places to eat. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this property to anyone and everyone, you will not be disappointed 😀

Beautiful restful cottage with garden and open fields. Alison and Gary were always on hand if we needed antlything. Thoughtful supplies and bottle of wine awaited us on our arrival. Lovely woodburner with plenty of logs provided. Would certainly stay again and recommend it
