We have just returned from a lovely week at this lovely, cosy cottage which sits in the most amazing surrounding countryside.Liz/ Digger were very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. The walks are breathtaking and plenty of them just a short drive which was brilliant. The gardens at the cottage were just perfect, apart from having to keep our dog(whippet) on lead all the time as requested by the owners as they had 2 cats.It would have been easier and more relaxing if part of the garden was enclosed. Another thing dogs not allowed upstairs, our dog sleeps in his own bed at home but in our room, this would have been good to know beforehand. Still wouldn't put us off,we would definitely return in the future and highly recommend.Wildlife in garden was lovely to watch, and pheasants just wander about, early in the morning you can hear the Stag bellowing in the background.Hot tub was fantastic after a day of walking!!Cottage has everything you need. Definitely return.

We had a great long weekend at The Crioch. It is a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. The cottage is very well stocked and has all modern appliances. It is very comfortable, the hot tub is perfectly situated. There is a large garden and the whole stay was very relaxing. The hosts were lovely and keen to help. Things which would have been good to know before we went - The garden is not fully enclosed, lots of pheasants around and apparently the owners have cats ( not that we saw them) - good to know if you have a dog who may chaseDogs are only allowed downstairs - our dog usually sleeps with us, so we would have wanted to know that before bookingThe water is off a well - all treated and fine but does mean your bath is brownish! (Fantastic shower and big bath so just take bubbles!)There are no shops at all anyway near but we booked a Tesco delivery which worked perfectlyThe kitchen is very compact so not a lot of work top space A really relaxing holiday with our dog - just what we had hoped for, thanks
