Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including a hamper, and enjoy the ample space, cosy kitchen with an Aga, and outdoor amenities like a fire pit. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

Most guests found Tulchan Lodge clean and well-prepared for their arrival, with fresh beds and tidy outdoor areas. However, some noted the presence of flies, cobwebs, and dust in certain areas, suggesting room for improvement in thoroughness.

The lodge's location is highly praised for its stunning views, tranquillity, and proximity to nature, making it an ideal rural retreat. The only drawback mentioned is the access road condition, which some found challenging.

The property is generally considered comfortable, with spacious rooms, cosy common areas, and a warm kitchen. Some guests mentioned issues with bed comfort and noise levels, but these were not widespread concerns.

The lodge is well-stocked with amenities suitable for large groups, including a gas BBQ and ample dining space. However, guests reported some maintenance issues such as problematic locks, non-functioning showers, and the need for better signage.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches, such as welcome hampers and the caretaker's helpfulness. While these gestures are appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The house was very unique - which we love! We loved the location.

  • Betty

    Sent to complaints.

Lots of space for a large group of adults and a toddler. Beautiful location. The house was very well equipped, with plenty of plates, etc for a large group. Mixed views regarding the comfort of the beds. Some of our party said the beds were really comfortable whilst others said their beds could do with a new mattress. The house is comfortable and feels lived in. As previous reviews have said, the road up to the property is bumpy. However, that is expected when you're going to a house off the beaten track. We had several cars and motorcycles who all navigated the road with no problems. The owner quickly responded when we had a problem with one of the showers. We would definitely return to the property if we needed a large house again. Thank you.
