Trails range from gentle riverside strolls to more challenging mountain hikes, making the area suitable for all abilities.
In winter months, the nearby Glenshee Ski Centre, Scotland’s largest ski area, is easily accessible for skiing, snowboarding, and other snow sports when conditions allow. At all times of year, the surrounding hills provide dramatic landscapes and quiet roads ideal for scenic drives and cycling.
The Blackwater Reservoir, located very close to the cottage, is a tranquil spot for walking, fishing, and wildlife spotting, with wide open views and a real sense of escape. Nature lovers will appreciate the dark skies, birdlife, and the chance to see red deer and other Highland wildlife in the area.
The nearby towns of Alyth and Blairgowrie offers a good selection of cafés, restaurants, shops, and local produce, as well as several well-regarded golf courses.
